AllPress is a Johannesburg-based metal pressing company producing stamped, formed and deep-drawn components in steel, stainless steel and aluminium from 0.05mm to 12mm thickness. Every press tool is designed and built in-house, and pressing runs are backed by an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality system — from first-article inspection through to final dimensional checks.
Metal pressing capabilities
Our press shop handles stamping, forming and deep drawing across a 0.05–12mm thickness range, in steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Whether it’s a short run of prototype pressings or a repeat production order, parts are pressed to the tolerances your drawing calls for and checked against our ISO 9001 quality process before dispatch.
- Stamping, forming and deep drawing
- Steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- 0.05mm–12mm material thickness
- Prototype and short-run pressing through to production volumes
- Custom pressed components: washers, gaskets, clips, cup washers and bespoke parts to your specification
Tooling built in-house
Press tools are designed and manufactured on site — forming tools and progressive dies included — so a pressing job doesn’t wait on an outside toolmaker. That keeps tooling lead times, tool maintenance and design changes under one roof, and it means the same team that engineers the tool also runs the pressing.
Pressing supported by cutting, welding and inspection
Metal pressings rarely leave the factory as a single flat part. AllPress runs laser cutting and EDM wire cutting for blanks and profiles, CNC machining and spark eroding for tooling and components, and welding, guillotining and sawing to turn pressings into finished, fabricated assemblies — all without leaving our factory. Our 3D scanning service reverse-engineers legacy pressed parts with no surviving drawing, and doubles as first-article and in-process dimensional inspection on new tooling.
Metal pressings for South African industry
We press for sectors where material integrity and delivery reliability aren’t negotiable:
- Automotive — brake back plates and anti-squeal shims for light and commercial vehicles, supplied to aftermarket manufacturers
- Railways — pressed and CNC components for rolling stock, with wire cutting for complex rail profiles
- Mining — cable support systems and safety-critical pressed components
- Chemical — stainless steel pressings and gaskets for process plant environments, with material traceability on request
- Ceramics — custom pressed components and press tooling for kiln furniture and manufacturing applications
- General engineering — pressing, laser and wire cutting as an outsourced precision resource for fabricators and OEMs
ISO 9001:2015 quality assurance
AllPress is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Every pressing job runs through a documented quality system, with first-article inspection and in-process dimensional checks carried out using our own 3D scanning equipment. A current certificate is available on request.

Frequently asked questions
What is metal pressing?
Metal pressing (also called metal stamping) uses a shaped tool and a press to cut, form or draw flat sheet metal into a specific shape. It’s a fast, repeatable way to produce parts to a tight tolerance in volume, once the tooling is made.
What material thicknesses can you press?
We press steel, stainless steel and aluminium from 0.05mm up to 12mm thick.
Do you make the press tools too?
Yes. Press tools, forming tools and progressive dies are designed and manufactured in-house, so tooling and pressing run under one roof.
Where are you located?
AllPress is based at 1169 Domkrag Street, Robertville, Johannesburg, and serves customers across South Africa.
